This course provides an introduction to the unifying concepts in biology. Study includes how structure defines function, how energy and matter are used, how growth and reproduction take place, and how all of this is related. There is no lab component for this course. A lab component for chemistry is typically required for premed, pharmacy, chemistry, and other physical science programs.
