Read Like a Writer
An important and often neglected part of writing is reading. We are readers before we are writers, and reading continues to shape, to fill, and to drive our work once we become writers. In this class we will explore the act of writerly reading: how it differs from other kinds of reading, what writers notice in the writing of others that the average reader might not, and how they use what they find in their own work, without becoming imitative.
