New Online History Class Debuts April 3 - Distance Education at The U of U announces the launch of a new online class, History 1700 (HIST 1700). "American Civilization" is a survey of American history and civilization from the colonial period to the present with emphasis on social, political, and economic developments. February 2008Osher Institute Spring Registration Opens February 26 - Registration for spring term classes has begun for Osher Lifelong Learning Institute members, and will continue until the first day of the spring term, March 31. Youth Education Opens Summer Registration February 15 - Youth Education kicks off summer planning with online registration for classes and day camps. Upcoming Tanner Humanities Conference February 8 - The Tanner Humanities Center at the U will host a two-day conference on body image March 5-6, 2008. Mirror, Mirror: Body in the Mind's Eye will include a keynote address given by Dr. Joan Jacobs Brumberg from Cornell University titled "From Corsets to Body Piercing: A History of American Girls and Their Bodies."
