I am not taking classes. How do I stay in touch with what is happening in Osher?

Sign up for our e-News! This will provide you with information in the timeliest manner. You will also receive newsletters in the mail and of course can visit this website.

How do I gain access to campus facilities that provide benefits to Osher students?

Osher students can obtain a photo ID card at the University's "U-Card" office in the Union Building (see map) for a small fee. In addition to local venues, University ID cards often grant discounts at places far and wide. Show your U card at each venue to obtain eligible discounts.

How do I get a student ID card?

A student ID card is available to all Osher members who are registered for at least 1 course. Student ID cards are obtained by showing proof of registration and paying $10 at the UCARD office in the Union Building (see map).

Do I need to get a student ID card every term?

You can use the same card from term to term. Your student ID is "reactivated" every time you register for a course.

What if I lose my student ID card?

Replacement cards are obtained by showing proof of registration and paying $10 at the UCARD office in the Union Building.

I'd like to get to know my fellow members better. How can I get in touch with another member?

Members may opt to be included in the Osher Member Directory. Copies of the directory are available at classes or at the Osher office. If the person you wish to contact is not in the directory ask around. One of your fellow members may be able to put you in touch. The Osher office does not give out contact information for a member who has not opted to be included in the Member Directory.

If I opt for my contact information to be included in the Osher Member Directory with whom will it be shared?

The Osher Member Directory is only available to members of The Osher Institute. Members are advised to use the information in the directory only for personal use in connecting with fellow members.
