What is the difference between Osher Lifelong Learning and Lifelong Learning? Although both are noncredit programs open to community members, the two programs vary in important ways. The Osher Institute is a membership program exclusively for adults 50 and over. Students pay a membership fee that entitles them the full array of member benefits, to take courses at the Institute, and to attend special events and other activities for members. Osher classes are held during the day in easily accessible locations with ample parking. Courses are selected by a committee of members and teaching is tailored to meet the needs of the mature learner. How can I receive information about future classes? You may be added to Osher's email list or regular mailing list. Please call 801-585-5442 or email osher@aoce.utah.edu to request to be added to either or both lists. Or sign up online here to receive emails. Since I joined Osher I have noticed an increase in the amount of junk mail I am receiving. Is there a connection? We are so sorry you are receiving junk mail! The University
of Utah does not sell, rent, or share lists of our students' addresses
or other contact information with any third parties. The University student,
faculty, and staff directory is on line and individual student information
can be accessed easily at www.utah.edu.
It is possible that data mining companies have devised schemes to collect
the information in the directory without our authorization. These
companies make their living searching the Internet and putting together
lists which they then sell for profit. We are located in the Annex building on the University of Utah campus. For maps and specific directions, see our Directions and Maps page. Certainly! You are welcome to call us at 801-585-5442 between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (Monday thru Thursday during the summer months). During busy times, we may not always be available to answer the phone. Please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.
