LISA A ARNETTE

Lisa A. Arnette, M.A., Organizational Communication, University of Texas at Austin,
B.S. Speech Communication, University of Utah.

Arnette is a seasoned nonprofit professional, working since 1990 in all areas of fund development and administration, including major and planned giving, grant writing, annual giving, special events, capital campaigns, leadership volunteer programs, and board development. She has worked in varying disciplines, including public television and radio, higher education, museums, secondary education, and international health. During her tenure in public broadcasting, she guided a capital campaign to a successful conclusion that included a successful proposal to the Kresge Foundation resulting in the first-ever grant being awarded to an organization in the state of Nevada. In 1996 she received national recognition from PBS for the top major giving program in the nation. Arnette returned to Utah in 1998 as development officer for the Utah Museum of Natural History, where she managed annual giving and capital campaign fund raising. She moved to Judge Memorial Catholic High School in 2003 as Director of Advancement, overseeing annual and capital fund raising, marketing/public relations and student recruitment, and raising the most capital improvement funds in the school's history. Arnette broadened her experience to include international fund raising and nonprofit administration as Director of Operations and Development for One HEART (Health, Education And Research in Tibet), an international NGO. In late 2009, Arnette joined the staff of the Utah Museum of Fine Arts as Director of Development and External Relations. She is also an associate instructor for the University of Utah's Professional Education Department.
