How to Apply
Admission to the Nonprofit Academy for Excellence Certificate Program is
by application only. Classes may be taken individually without acceptance
to the certificate program. Please visit this page for a list of classes.
To apply, fill out our 2-page application form in its entirety and submit
it electronically. If you would like to be considered for financial assistance, submit two letters of reference to the address indicated on the application form.
Application criteria are subjective and include the following:
- Personal statement including why you are applying to the Academy, what you hope to accomplish, the top three skills you wish to strengthen, and what skills you feel you can share with others at the Academy
- Resume and/or biography
- Organization diversity, history, and length of service (Note: current association with a nonprofit organization is not required)
For fall acceptance, applications are due August 22,
2008. Letters of
acceptance will be mailed within two weeks after the application deadline.
Incomplete applications will not be considered. If the Academy's Acceptance
Committee must choose between two equally qualified people, they will
choose the one whose application packet has the earliest dated postmark.
