The Nonprofit Academy for Excellence

Fund Development for Nonprofits Certificate

Learn key concepts and gain a solid foundation of how to plan, identify, and develop fundraising opportunities.

Fund Development for Nonprofits Certificate (PROED 500)
To gain the Fund Development for Nonprofits Certificate, the participant must be accepted into the Nonprofit Academy for Excellence and complete the required seven full days of training within a two year period. Please see Individual Classes below for the required classes. After acceptance to the program, participant will receive an email with instructions on how to pay the discounted tuition fee and how to select and enroll in the individual classes. The discounted tuition fee for an Academy certificate track is $1250 and includes ~50 hours of class instruction and all materials (except copyright materials, if applicable).

Creating Excellence in Nonprofit Boards (PROED 521)
Finding Funding for Nonprofits (PROED 505)
Foundations of Nonprofit Management (PROED 501)
Fundraising Fundamentals (PROED 503)
Aligning your Nonprofit Financial and Strategic Plans (PROED 502)
Strategic Planning for Nonprofit Fundraising (PROED 509)
And/Or
Major Gifts (PROED 507)

And, select 2 or 3 from the following Electives (to fulfill the requirements explained above):
Grant Writing (PROED 504)
Grant Writing II (PROED 508) On-Demand Only
Managing Cash Flows and Internal and External Reporting (PROED 525) On-Demand Only
Managing Your Federal Grants and the Single Audit (PROED 527) On-Demand Only
Marketing for Nonprofits (PROED 506)

What does On-Demand mean?

Please note: Not all courses are offered every term, but we try to offer each course in this certificate program during the course of each academic year. Follow the link to see if the course is currently offered or fill out an On-Demand form to let us know your interest. When we have enough people to run a class, we will add it!
