The Nonprofit Academy for Excellence
Helping You Make a Difference

Community Support and Financial Assistance

To help nonprofit professionals who may not be able to afford certificate fees, the Advisory Committee established several scholarships for the Nonprofit Academy - see below for the criteria and the process.

We welcome donations from all sources and would be happy to facilitate grants from donor-advised funds for that purpose. If you are interested in establishing a scholarship for Nonprofit Academy students, contact us at 801-585-1780.

Financial Assistance Guidelines and Criteria

It is important to demonstrate to our community supporters that nonprofit organizations invest in their professionals. Applications will be considered based on the completeness and quality of the applicant's answers, professional employment, volunteer work history, and recommendation letters. Continuing Education personnel will comprise the selection committee unless otherwise required by donor. The selection process is subjective. Organizations may only receive funding for one participant per semester. Scholarship/funding recipients must adhere to specific guidelines set by the donor.

Recipients will be notified approximately two weeks before the first day of the next academy if they receive funds.

Recipients will have up to two years to complete the certificate program.

Funds are non-transferable; if a recipient does not complete the entire certificate program, re-payment of scholarship funds may be required.

All scholarship recipients are required to follow donor requirements and supply feedback, as requested, about the program.

Academy application review process and criteria may be found here
