In light of Osher's 20th Anniversary, this course will honor Utah's biological legacy by presenting the amazing biodiversity of species and habitats of Utah. The State and Federal List of Endangered Species in Utah will be provided, along with an in-depth discussion of at least two of Utah's Endangered Species. The purpose of the course is to raise awareness of Utah's amazing treasure of biological diversity. Osher members will learn about how the intersection of species, habitats, human activity, economic, political, and other considerations impact the health and conservation of Utah's biological treasures. Potential ways to conserve Utah's unique species and habitat diversity also will be discussed.
