Economics in the Context of Science and Society
Academic Credit

The class provides an introduction to economics as a social science, and the role economics can play in understanding social and political problems. The focus lies on an exploration of the topics economists work on, including pressing domestic issues such as the delivery of healthcare and education, and fiscal policy and public debt, as well as questions of global reach related to poverty, inequality and sustainability of our increasingly integrated world economy.
