Nightscape photography (landscape astrophotography) tends to be shrouded in the myth that it takes highly specialized equipment, a lot of time, and locations far from cities to be carried out successfully. Demystify the process of taking photos at night, as you learn key elements to making a great nightscape image, including: refining your equipment, post-processing images, scouting great locations, and the science behind your photographs. Take your skills photography classes to new heights and aim (your camera) for the stars! Prerequisite: Digital Photography I (LLART 115), or take our quiz.

This is an online class. The last class meets outside on April 15, 7-10pm (location TBD). All in-person activities require wearing a mask and maintaining 6 feet of distance between participants. The special fee is for the field trip kit.
