Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction - An Introductory Workshop

What is mindfulness? Research studies show there are many physical and mental benefits from the practice of mindfulness. What does it take to develop a practice? This introductory workshop will provide an overview of the origins of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction training, key principles of mindfulness meditation, and suggestions for a home practice. Students may continue their mindfulness journey by taking Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction - 6 Week Techniques and Practice. This course is a prerequisite for the 6-week MBSR, LLHL 207.
