Lifelong Learning

Are you interested in learning about heart health and cardiac disease? Then join us for this course that is designed for non-professionals. You'll be introduced to basic cardiac anatomy and how the heart works, then review some cardiac diseases and available treatments. Finally, you will participate in a discussion about how to maintain heart-healthy living including diet, exercise, stress reduction, and living with chronic conditions.

Class Sections For Healthy Heart and You (LLHL 247)

Spring 2023 Section 1, Starting on: 01/21/2023

This class takes place in person at the University Connected Learning and Continuing Education building (540 Arapeen Drive, SLC). This is not an individualized medical course and should not take the place of any treatments prescribed by your doctor. If you have a blood pressure cuff made for use on your upper arm (not wrist), please bring it to the first class. Students will be instructed on purchasing a blood-pressure cuff in the first session and can expect to spend around $25 should they choose to buy one. Special fee is for class materials and handouts. Class is limited to 12.
