What do Steve Martin, Rhiannon Giddens, and Taylor Swift have in common? They all play the banjo! Thought to have evolved from similar instruments on the African continent, the banjo has become a mainstay of contemporary American music. In this class, you will focus on the basics as you learn a variety of tunes and styles.
This class takes place in person at the University Connected Learning and Continuing Education building (540 Arapeen Drive, SLC). Class is limited to 8. Students must bring their own instrument as well as a banjo strap, finger picks and tuner. We hate canceling classes, but sometimes there are forces outside of our control. Please keep this in mind as you purchase supplies and hang onto your receipt. Email our office at email@example.com to inquire about the status of a class. Special fee is for copies of music received in class. Please view the University of Utah's current Covid guidelines for attending classes on campus at https://coronavirus.utah.edu/
