After a brief introduction to basic economics, you'll discover the world of cryptocurrency including its history and different forms. You'll then discuss blockchain and how it works, including the benefits and challenges of decentralization and cryptocurrency's impact on the global world. Finally, you'll get some hands on experience with a crypto wallet and NFT's while you learn how to share digital assets.

Taught by Darby Bailey. This class takes place in person at the University Connected Learning and Continuing Education building (540 Arapeen Drive, SLC). Students should know how to operate a computer, web browser, Microsoft Word and Excel or Google sheets and Docs, and must have either a gmail or utah.edu email. If you are not familiar with logging in to campus computers, please arrive early to the first class session for assistance.
