Expand your knowledge and explore Queer Cinema through the eyes of queer filmmakers. Grow your repetoir of media that centers on the representation of queer lives, and that which implements queer aesthetics to deconstruct normative systems of power. You'll examine tropes, influences, and techniques of arthouse as well as mainstream queer film. You'll watch short clips, analyze them in class, and have access to full-length films outside of class to discuss the following week.
