Kayak II: Rescue, Paddling, and Reading Whitewater
Lifelong Learning

Plan for a fun day on the river (class I - II) working on more advanced paddling techniques, scouting, and reading whitewater. Throughout the day, the class will investigate and practice several whitewater rescue skills: self-rescue, throw bags, snag and tag lines, strong swimmer rescue, boat rescue, and z-drag pulley system set-up. Climbing skills of anchors, belays, and rappels will also be practiced in relation to whitewater rescue. This class is the perfect follow-up to the Packraft and Kayaking Made Easy classes, or for those with beginning/intermediate whitewater experience wanting a refresher course.
