Editing and Proofing (LLWRC 821) / Lifelong Learning

Does your job involve writing or reviewing reports or press releases, preparing Web content, or analyzing the written work of others? Do you help put together the newsletter for your favorite organization? Are you an aspiring writer who wants to know more about the way language works? If so, this hands-on workshop may be just what you need. It covers basic editing for grammar and content using material of your own choice. We also discuss editorial responsibilities, examine various stylebooks and approaches, and examine ways to avoid common pitfalls. The class includes a session on proofreading as well.
