Mindfulness, Self-compassion and Wellness is a six-week course that includes formal mindfulness practices including the body scan, sitting meditation, simple Qi gong, and informal practices for mindfulness in daily life.Â Mindful self-compassion exercises are introduced to enhance one's capacity to respond with gentlenessÂ and kindness to the inner critic.Â Learning about the stress response and understanding the changes in the brain through training the mindÂ allows for increased health for the body/heart/mind.
