Course Description

Spain's oldest wine-producing areas are in Cataluna. It is the home of Cava and many indigenous grape varieties that are virtually unheard of outside of this region. We will discuss the history of Cataluna, learn the process of making Cava, and discover the unique soils that influence the wines with power and minerality. We will taste sparkling, white and red wines as we learn and discover one of Spain's most prized Mediterranean regions.
