Screendance Capstone: Advanced Theory and Production

This course provides in-depth investigation, theory, and production of Screendance, and provides context and mentorship for the capstone project required for those pursuing the Graduate Certificate in Screendance. Students are provided with advanced concepts for exploration in both theoretical and creative aspects of this hybrid, interdisciplinary art form, as well as exposure to issues of dissemination, curation, and advanced critical analysis of the field at large. The course will culminate in a final capstone screendance project.

This noncredit class meets with a regular University of Utah credit course.

Spring 2021 Section 1, Starting on: 01/19/2021

New for Spring 2021, the course will be delivered entirely on-line, with up to 2 hours class time per week, as well as one-to-one mentoring, set practical exercises and assignments, viewings, readings, and written submissions.
