Family Financial Planning Capstone

This course will begin with a review of the different areas of financial planning necessary in completing a comprehensive plan of action for clients. During this course students will work on their own and as a group in evaluating personal financial situations through case study review. Students will also enhance their learning through visits from current financial planning professionals who will present cases that deal with different issues that commonly arise in professional financial planning. Students will also learn and discuss their ethical responsibilities to clients. Finally, students will review the different areas of financial planning that will be required to pass the certification exam.

This noncredit class meets with a regular University of Utah credit course.

Online book and material fees may be added up until the first week of class. Students may opt out during the first two weeks of class. Class Sections For Family Financial Planning Capstone (FCSC 555)

Summer 2024 Section 90, Starting on: 05/13/2024

This is an 8-week course that will begin May 13th and conclude July 5th, 2024. This is the final course in the Professional Certificate in Financial Planning, and should be taken after FCSC 350, 551, 552, 553 and 554 have been successfully passed. An additional fee for educational verification by the CFP board applies to this course, as well as an optional fee for the Inclusive Access program (discounted course-required e-book).
