Through class and field sessions, students examine resource management issues, and learn specific skills related to camping and fishing. Overnight Camping.
This noncredit class meets with a regular University of Utah credit course.

Students will learn the fundamentals of fly-fishing, including casting, equipment selection, entomology, and river ecology. Curriculum includes backpacking instruction, including trip planning, basic navigation, and Leave No Trace camping and travelling techniques. Class meets on-campus on Sep. 20th only. Attendance at first class meeting is mandatory. Field experience will be October 7th - October 9th.
