Hike Bryce National Park
Academic Noncredit

Students will develop a greater understanding and appreciation of the environment in Bryce canyon National Park. This will be accomplished by traveling and hiking in the area and experiencing the environment first-hand. Some topics covered include: natural history, geology, ecology, resource management, and developing or improving general outdoor skills (risk management, camping, hiking, etc). This class serves students who may prefer foot travel exploration without the burden of backpacks.

This noncredit class meets with a regular University of Utah credit course.

Summer 2021 Section 1, Starting on: 05/24/2021

Attendance at first class meeting is mandatory. Drops not possible after the 2nd day following this meeting. Class meets only May 24 from 6-9pm in ST 209. Field Trip June 4th – 6th. Overnight Camping. Trip may be moved to Capitol Reef National Park pending campground construction.
