Rock Rescue I - Bottom Site Management

The basic procedures involved with the activity of vertical self rescue in a bottom managed situation will be explained, demonstrated and practiced during this course. Leave No Trace skills, and associated safety skills including proper equipment selection and use will also be covered. Additionally, students will demonstrate an increased understanding of issues and guidelines.

This noncredit class meets with a regular University of Utah credit course.

Attendance at first class meeting is mandatory. Drops not possible after the 2nd day following this meeting. Class meets April 2 only. Field trip to Moab, Utah Fri, Sat, Sun, April 12-14.
