This course will provide the tools necessary to learn the language the Earth uses to tell her story. Class members will be able to use minerals, rocks, fossils, land forms, structures, and processes to reveal the geologic history of the Salt Lake area. We will also use geologic principles/laws to describe the geologic history of the Salt Lake area.

Summer 2021 Section 1, Starting on: 05/26/2021
Instructor: Bill Christiansen. Class will meet on the patio at 540 Arapeen Drive for the first two sessions and thereafter at different sites of geologic interest to be announced. Must be able to walk about two miles round trip. Masks and social distancing required.
