Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

Poetry expresses feelings: As everyone feels, everyone is a poet. Come and explore. Hear what poets of old, Robert Frost, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Emily Dickerson, Carl Sandburg; and new, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, Mary Oliver, Billy Collins; and amateur poets you may never have heard of, have to say. Each class will delve into some of this poetry and also allow time for you to share what you write yourself. It doesn't matter what you write, just write. Or, if you don't want to write, just listen to others and enjoy.
