Utah Symphony Finishing Touches Preview: Chopin Piano Concerto No. 2

Flautist Sally Humphreys will present a half-hour preview of the music in the December 10 Finishing Touches Rehearsal of the Utah Symphony: Case Scaglione Conducts Wagner's Prelude and Liebestod from Tristan and Isolde, Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2, and Dvorak's Symphony No. 7, with Ingrid Filer, Piano. Osher members will learn about the life and work of the composers, as well as the guest conductor and pianist, and gain insight into the world of the professional symphony orchestra. Separate $15 tickets are required to attend the actual rehearsal, held the same day from 10:00am to 12:30pm, or the regular evening performances on Friday or Saturday. Tickets can be purchased from the Utah Symphony Ticket Office at 801-533-6683 or immediately after the lecture.
