This class is designed for students who are familiar with the Italic hand and the basic elements of using a dip pen. Discover new ways to create pieces of art with words. Two beautiful fonts will be taught, Uncial and Carolingian, along with ideas for completed projects. We will also learn simple decorated letters that can be used as capitals for any alphabet. Class members will need to obtain a set of nibs and a holder, water-soluble ink, practice paper, a pencil, an eraser, and a ruler prior to the first meeting.
