Besides bringing fragrance and delight to our world, flowers have figured prominently in various cultures throughout history. We find flower symbols in both Western and non-Western art, religion, mythology, literature, and music. We will focus on each of these areas with two sessions devoted to the language of flowers in art. This interactive class will include discussion of images, poetry, songs, myths, excerpts from literature, short videos, and more.
