Family History - Where Do I Begin?

Does your family tree look like a mighty oak? Or a spindly twig? Do you know where you came from? What can you do from home during COVID? Whether you know a lot about your family or just a little, this class will introduce you to possible next steps --looking backward as well as a little bit of looking forward. We'll talk DNA, online family-history sources (Ancestry, FamilySearch, Find My Past, etc.), photos, other family relics, memories, personal histories, writing, collecting, organizing and whatever you'd like to know. And if Osher members are interested, this introduction may lead to more in-depth classes, including one or more sessions at the FamilySearch Library, once the building is reopened to the public.
