Conservation Garden Park

More than 60% of Utah's drinking water is used on outdoor landscapes. With water shortages expected by 2040, changing the way landscaping is done in Utah is becoming increasingly important. Jordan Valley Water's conservation park showcases landscaping suited for Utah's unique climate. Learn how simple changes can result in big water savings. On our tour, we will learn about the garden itself and a variety of plants and designs. We'll discover how to identify and get the upper hand on weeds, get ideas for planting parking strips, and learn about water-wise trees, plants and perennials. Come prepared to ask questions. Attendees should wear comfy shoes for walking and bring sun protection. Must stay on paths and out of flower beds.
