Osher Special Events provide a way for members to learn about our surrounding community and to stay connected when classes are not in session. Four Osher Special Events are included in the basic membership per term. RSVP's are required, and can be done by selecting your desired event below.

Valley Emergency Communications Center

Salt Lake Valley Emergency Communications Center (VECC) is the largest 9-1-1 public safety answering point in the State of Utah. The tour will consist of a classroom presentation that covers the process of 9-1-1, who VECC serves, when to call 9-1-1 and what to expect when you do. Then we’ll tour the operations floor and meet the 9-1-1 Call Takers, Police, Fire and EMS Dispatchers who take the calls and dispatch the public safety resources.
