Among the courses Jay has taught at the University of Utah are Learning Skills, Intermediate and College Algebra, and Introductory Statistics. At the graduate level he has taught Tests and Measurement for the Educational Psychology Department at the U of U; Measurement Theory, and Research Design and Statistics in the Clinical Psychology Department at Brigham Young University. Jay was also a Research Fellow at Michigan State University. Jay has developed the curriculum for all Preparatory Course offerings and has been teaching in this area since its inception in 1989. In 2000, Jay was recognized as the Outstanding Instructor for Academic Outreach and Continuing Education at the University of Utah.
