JULIO GARCIA

Julio Garcia is Director of Human Resources for Salt Lake City Corporation. In this role he oversees all functions of Human Resource Management, including but not limited to, benefits administration, classification, compensation, employee relations, recruitment, training and development, and general administration of all HR related programs for city government. He previously served as the Associate Director of Human Resources for Salt Lake County.

Prior to his work in Human Resources, Julio served as the Director of Elections for Salt Lake County where he spearheaded the implementation of the federally mandated electronic voting system.

His work in the private sector includes being part of the production team that produced the largest collaborative photography event in history and the New York Times best-seller "America 24/7". He also worked as a project manager in the Silicon Valley�s high-tech industry. His work in the non-profit sector includes raising money through strategic partnerships and cause-related marketing promotions for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund in San Francisco, California.

Julio graduated from Boise State University with a degree in Political Science and earned a Master�s degree in Public Administration from the University of Utah.
