Have you ever watched a web series, TV show, tiktok or movie and thought "I can do that"? Well now's your chance to prove it. Using the medium of film, you’ll tackle the stages of on-screen acting, from headshot to castability to audition to monologue to scenes to a short scripted story. This class will explore what it looks like to work on someone else's project, and how to create your own work that can showcase your passion for acting. You’ll examine drama and comedy, diving deep into what grounds a performance emotionally and makes it iconic. This workshop is led by Amanda Taylor, founder of Apple Juice Productions, where she created shows based on the works of Jane Austen (inspired by the Baby-sitters Club and Harry Potter) as well as an original web series all about celebrating Halloween. Get ready for Lights! Camera! Action! Co-sponsored with Higher Ground Learning.
