Intro to AP Computer Science (Age 14-17)

Get a head start on the basics of the "Big 5" in preparation for your first Computer Science course! Topics covered will be the creative and iterative process with design, algorithm development, and data/network implementation. Fundamental coding ideas and concepts will be covered with a focus on Java. A personal laptop is required for this workshop. Co-sponsored with Higher Ground Learning.

Class Sections For Intro to AP Computer Science (Age 14-17) (YEHS 207)

Summer 2024 Section 1, Starting on: 07/08/2024

Students must bring a personal laptop to class each day. This camp is designed for those who will be taking AP Computer Science A, but may briefly address some topics from AP Computer Science Principles. Students must have a solid foundation in high school algebra as a prerequisite. Camp held at Higher Ground Learning, 380 West Pierpont Avenue, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. Reminder emails will be sent out before camp begins and will include location notes and other details.
