From beautiful to creepy, short stories can teach us a lot about how to think, how human nature influences us, how great people can influence us, and so much more. Let's go on a short story binge for a few weeks and see where it takes us! Short stories are a beautiful source for learning to read with clarity, write with meaning, discuss with eloquence, learn vocabulary like a boss, and present with class. Language Arts teaches all these skills and practicing all these skills prepares you to lead out in the world to improve it.

This is an online class. Course is good for one semester of high school credit, but not all schools may accept the credit. Check with high school counselor or registrar to confirm. It requires participation in discussions and organization of all the short stories you will print off and annotate. Please come prepared at the beginning of the course with a dedicated-for-Language Arts notebook to take notes and a way to organize all the short stories and notes you will take (a three-ring binder with page protectors is best, while a folder with pockets is a very close second). On a daily basis, come prepared to participate in reading and discussions, take notes, laugh, search for vocabulary words, and learn other ways to succeed in Language Arts and life.
