ACT Writing Course (Grade 10 & Up)
Youth Education

Need Help Preparing for the ACT Writing Test?

Our three hour ACT Writing Course is designed to strengthen your skills and build your confidence before you take the ACT writing section. This class covers the basic writing skills and strategies needed to succeed on this test. Students will learn to plan, structure, and execute a well-crafted and content-rich essay.

How do I know if I need the ACT Writing Section?

The writing section of the ACT exam is optional. Not all universities require it, though many do. To determine if you need to take the writing section, research the universities you would like to apply for and find out if they require it for admittance. If you are unsure where you would like to attend college or if you will need the writing section, it is safer to take the writing section in case it is required by a university you later decide to apply for.

Sounds great! How do I sign up?

This class is offered to all students. It is not a substitute for the ACT prep course, which covers the four required subjects of the ACT exam; English, math, reading, science. If you would like to review the core subjects of the ACT exam, please see our ACT Preparatory Course (Grade 10 & Up).
