Take philosophy, take action! This summer, you have the opportunity to closely and critically examine ethical issues concerning our environment! In this camp, we will examine questions including what is the environment? Are human beings a part of nature? What should our relationship to nature be? Through hands-on case studies and using ethical theory, we will dive into issues surrounding climate change, including pandemics, climate refugees, biodiversity, clean air and water initiatives. We will talk to experts at the Natural History Museum and local nonprofits about our relationship to animals and the environment and what is being done to counter human-caused climate change.
