BioEYES: Genetics in Action (Age 9-11)
Youth Education

Let's all be scientists! Come set up your very own science experiment using zebrafish. You will learn about where zebrafish come from, what science is being done with them and even get to see the heartbeat of a developing larva. Investigate where genes come from, what DNA looks like, and how scientists are using a tiny fish to cure cancer. Activities will also include field trips to University of Utah zebrafish core facility and science labs, meeting scientists working in the lab, conducting a science treasure hunt, and starting your own science lab notebook. Co-sponsored with the U of U's Department of Pediatrics.
