Jess started working with Youth Education as the Youth Education Program Coordinator in 2015. After graduating from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in Environmental and Sustainability Studies, Jess went on to work as a naturalist and informal educator, encouraging students to recognize their own abilities as scientists by providing opportunities for students to explore the natural world. Jess brings this experience, along with her enthusiasm for all things science-y and fun to developing unique, authentic, hands-on classes for students at Youth Education. Aside from space, charismatic ice age megafauna, and cat videos, Jess enjoys spending time camping and playing board games with her husband and playing fetch with her cat.
