Learn how the Brothers Grimm, searching for the roots of a common German language, discovered and collected tales from storytellers and French refugees. Travel with us on the Romantic Road, crossing rivers Neckar, Mosel, Rhein, and Main. Venture into the Spessart Forest, the darkest of all German forests, and discover places of magical repose. Experience a typical German spa and learn about German spa culture. Explore unique German fairy tale towns of half-timbered houses and learn how they survived the calamities of the 20th century, the darkest period of German history.
