Return to Yorkshire with PBS Utah and Go Learn!
Travel Dates: April 29-May 8, 2027
Return to Yorkshire with PBS Utah and Go Learn for an unforgettable journey through the landscapes, stories, and beloved series that have made Masterpiece a favorite for generations. From the rolling Yorkshire Dales to the historic streets of York, Harrogate, and Greenwich, this special itinerary brings you closer to the places behind some of PBS's most cherished productions.
Along the way, you'll explore the world of the Brontë sisters, uncover fascinating connections to Agatha Christie, and step into locations featured in acclaimed series including Victoria, To Walk Invisible, and All Creatures Great and Small. New for 2027, we'll spend two full days immersed in the Yorkshire Dales, giving fans even more time to experience the scenery and communities that inspired All Creatures Great and Small.
Guiding the journey is PBS Utah's own Kate Jones, whose engaging historical insights and behind-the-scenes stories bring these destinations to life. And with every reservation, a $250 donation supports PBS Utah, making this an opportunity to champion your local public television station while experiencing the magic of Masterpiece firsthand.
Because many of the destinations we visit are best experienced on foot, this itinerary includes several walking tours through historic cities, market towns, and countryside landscapes. Participants should be comfortable walking up to five miles and climbing approximately 100 stairs per day. Group travel throughout the journey will be by public transportation, including trains, buses, and the London Underground, and guests should be able to board and navigate these independently while managing their own luggage. Travelers who prefer to use taxis may make independent arrangements at an additional cost, though taxis may not be available in all locations.
This trip is considered a Level Two out of three physical ability levels on the Go Learn scale.
After arriving in London, we'll make our way to the Rockwell Hotel in the charming neighborhood of Earl's Court. This evening, gather with your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner at Orjowan, a beloved Lebanese restaurant known for its warm hospitality and flavorful cuisine. After dinner, we'll return to the hotel for a restful night and prepare for the exciting days ahead.

Terms & ConditionsWe deliberately chose April/May for our On Location adventure as many of the filming sites are open for visits, versus closed during mid-summer or during production. Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Dales are particularly beautiful at that time of the year—a photographer’s dream come true.
We are staying in the heart of London and the Yorkshire Dales, utilizing public transportation in the cities and enjoying luxury group transportation in the country. Each place visited will start with a little background and behind-the-scenes information from your PBS guides. We’ll also have local tour guides at many of our sites who will be able to answer questions and give us more insider information. Enjoy!
Go Learn is a unique travel program. For those who can join us, we offer a pre-departure meetings to prepare travelers about the learning we will experience as well as logistics. Our PBS Utah host Kate Jones will make sure you have all the information you need before you arrive in London—we'll answer questions about what to pack, how to get around, and our daily itinerary. We’ll share this information in writing with those who might not be able to attend as Go Learn increasingly attracts people from the entire USA.
Our journey does not end the day we leave the UK! A reunion a month or so after our return is a wonderful capstone to an unforgettable and enriching edu-vacation, as we like to call our journeys.
May is one of the best times to visit Yorkshire as the beauty of spring is something that needs to be experienced in person. Along with longer days, we’ll encounter wildflowers bursting into life, lush meadows, and a plethora of adorable baby lambs. Temperatures will be steady and cool with highs near the mid 60s° F and lows near 40° F. Wind is always present on the Dales, so a light jacket is a must, as are good walking shoes. Having an umbrella or rain jacket on hand wouldn’t be a bad idea either.
This trip is considered a LEVEL 2 trip. Learn more about our activity levels.
Activity LevelsThis is a very walking-intensive trip. In order to fully explore the sights on our itinerary, we’ll be walking long distances every day. Locals walk everywhere—be it to historical sites or just during everyday life—and we’ll do the same. Be sure to bring comfortable walking shoes! Since we’ll be waking up early with jetlag, we often start our days early and continue until sundown. You must also be able to board and exit the trains with your luggage so pack accordingly.
