For over a thousand years the Camino de Santiago, the Way of St. James, has been one of the most significant pilgrimage routes in Europe. Since the 8th century, together with Rome and Jerusalem, the Camino was the main destination of Catholic pilgrims from all over Europe, indeed from all over the world. Like a transformative retreat, each journey unique, each day a process of discovery.
After two days of arts and culture in Madrid, we are heading north to Puente la Reina, to start our incredible pilgrimage. If you are a novice or a seasoned cyclist, thanks to our bus-assisted way of traveling each day, you can shape the distance you like to ride any way you desire. You can even choose to skip biking and walk the Camino with your peer pilgrims. You can also choose to rent an E-bike for some more assistance. Ramon, our driver, meets up with the group every few miles and the air-conditioned bus is our private island to land on any time we like. The astonishing accommodations, paired with some of the best food in the world, are really the highlights at the end of each day. Lectures by Dr. Michael Gills, European legends told by Christoph Dressler, as well as discussion on the findings of our day round up each of our evenings.
Join us on a cultural and spiritual journey through the World Heritage Site of the Camino de Santiago, the cradle of the European Agenda. We will take you on six stages from the French border in the east all the way to Santiago de Compostela on a journey you don’t want to miss!
