Shelly Braun is a medical anthropologist. She earned her PhD at the University of Utah, during which time she spent eight years studying shamanism as a healing system in the U.S. and Nepal.
Shelly is interested in all things health and medicine - across time and around the world. She started her career as a public-health nutritionist, has worked as an advocate for effective health policy, a developer of volunteer trainings for a number of local nonprofits, and has taught at a number of Utah universities. She currently works as a consultant, designing professional-development trainings and coaching writers.
