BENJAMIN WEBSTER

Educated in Graphic Design at the University of Utah and a letterpress printer by trade, Ben Webster is the owner and operator of The Mandate Press in Salt Lake City. Since 2004 his shop has become well known as one of the top letterpress shops in the country, and prints work for many clients overseas. Before his decision to become a full time printer he worked as a designer at almost every level of design, from rudimentary prepress to high profile client work for ad agencies. He found early in his career that what he enjoyed even more than the design process was seeing a design come to full fruition as it was actually produced, especially printed matter. After printing press purchased as hobby eventually led to quitting the day job in order to focus on letterpress printing.
