ERIK OSTRANDER

I'm ERiK, you can think "ERiK the Red" (gestures towards red beard). I graduated from the U in Physics, and like to consider myself a physician. As an undiagnosed fishaholic, I spend as much of my time on the river trying to trick fish into eating feathers, fur, and a sharp piece of metal. I'm a geek for science, but am still way, way cool.

What Students are Saying:

"Erik is a fantastic teacher. He is very passionate about fly fishing, about the rivers and the habitat surrounding them. He is able to relay his wealth of knowledge in a way that any beginner can relate to and get excited about."
- Debra G.

"Erik Ostrander gave a great Tenkara flyfishing class. He covered history, equipment, species, locations, technique and hands on fishing. He is a wonderful source of info and I enjoyed taking his class. I think everybody in the class enjoyed it! Thanks Erik!"
-Peter H.

"Erik's passion and knowledge of Tenkara is what sets this class apart. The classroom teaching/practice really helps students make the most of the on river time. This is the second time I've taken this class and I learned as much this time as last thanks to Erik's group and one on one teaching. Thanks for a great offering!"
-Holly B.

"Erik was an amazing, professional teacher that really took the time to explain and connect with every student. It didn't matter that some of us, (especially me!) had very little knowledge or experience. I would absolutely recommend Erik for any and every fishing class that he teaches. Thank you for making this such a positive experience!"
