Dana Levy teaches alignment-based hatha yoga, having practiced Iyengar yoga since 2003. Dana's background in modern dance, bodywork, anatomy and kinesiology, and martial arts influences her teaching style. As yoga is a powerful vehicle
for transformation, she focuses on ease, efficiency, and coordination of breath and movement in order to create a fuller awareness of the body-mind connection. Dana offers challenging, innovative, fun, and instructive classes
with an emphasis on meeting each student's needs. Using props such as blocks, belts, bolsters, chairs, and walls, she creates a yoga practice for every body, regardless of age, size, or ability, and encourages practitioners to
develop a lifelong practice. She currently teaches at Avenues Yoga.
